About TMM as a musician

Contact and details

Summary

TMM may have started as an IRC nickname, but it eventually crossed into music. In 2009 the blog post TMM goes Spotify! signaled the first public step into distribution. From there, tracks, remixes and side‑projects kept the alias alive, appearing next to other monikers such as Houseifyer and Rhythm Shifter.

This musical presence was never meant as a chart‑topping success story. It was more of an experimental outlet: a way to explore electronic production and test the boundaries between coding culture and creative sound. TMM became a recognizable tag in the discography, a reminder of the link between networks, scripts, and beats.

This is TMM – an electronic music project by Thomas Tornevall (also credited as T. Tornevall). The sound of TMM sits between amateurical built dance and jungle / drum n bass. Tools was mostly FastTracker 2, Cakewalk and an early version of Propellerheads Reason (version 5 and lower).
