Bloodline is coming back after 16 years

In 2009, I began my initial experiments with Spotify and digital music releases. For me, music production was still in its early stages. During the 1990s, I worked exclusively with FastTracker (versions 1 and 2), but with support from Kristian “Miazma” Olofsson, I transitioned to Cakewalk and acquired a Yamaha synth.

A few years prior, I had moved back home to Scania (Skåne) and was inspired by music I had heard on what I believe was Digitally Imported. This led me to attempt creating something similar of what I’ve heard with a very specific, rapid, bassline. The result was mixed, but from this process the track Bloodline emerged, based on a quote from the 2007 film The Last Legion. It was released as an experiment over a three-month period, alongside a few other tracks. Although the intention was to continue producing, the irregular release schedule and lack of sufficient material caused the project to stall. Freakshow, a small mini-album, was released simultaneously with Bloodline and may have been conceived as the foundation of a larger project, despite the relatively low quality of the music at that stage. Nevertheless, this marked somekind of beginning of an end. Bloodline became the last track from my own catalog back then, to be distributed across multiple streaming services.

Later, releases from, I – TMM, were removed because it had been confused with another artist (https://open.spotify.com/artist/1tf3Hb6Tb5FVY2jIvnob6U). Upon discovering several questionable titles associated with that profile (“Enjoy my power dick”), I determined that the material could not remain there. Making a claim was not feasible either, as it would likely have resulted in the hijacking of the entire artist profile.

Although the takedown was reluctant, the material is now, 16 years later, being republished. Psychopath has already been released, albeit without TMM as a featured artist, since TMM never established itself with significant content. The re-release is thus primarily motivated by nostalgia.
